YUNGBLUD Sings a Message of Self-Love in "god save me, but don't drown me out"

Updated: Sep 25, 2020

After teasing a snippet of the lyrics on Twitter and Instagram, Dominic Harrison, known by his fans as YUNGBLUD released the third single from his upcoming studio album weird!, "god save me, but don't drown me out."

Harrison's lyrics are a vulnerable declaration of self-love and confidence. "I won't let my insecurities define who I am," he sings in the chorus. He wrote the song in hopes that his

fans would relate, and feel less alone - he believes everyone is worthy of love, but most importantly, deserving of love from themselves. He belts the lyrics over a strong electric guitar accompaniment and heavy drums, making for the perfect song to scream-sing when you're in need of an extra confidence boost.

The single is the third from Harrison's second upcoming studio album, weird!, following the releases of the title track "weird!"in April, and "strawberry lipstick" in July. The release is set for November 13, and is available for preorder here: https://yungblud.lnk.to/weirdalbum
