We have seen many different sides of Miley Cyrus throughout the years. Everyone met her at the young age of 13 years old on Hannah Montana and since then we have been taken on a journey through the Can’t Be Tamed, Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, and Younger Now eras. Now Miley is taking us on a completely new journey with her newest album, Endless Summer Vacation.
Cyrus’ 8th studio album is a beautiful display of how soft pop can emphasize a heartache, comprised of 13 passionate tracks. Her leading single off of the album, “Flowers,” is the first song that meets the listener where they are and gives a very strong start for the rest of the album to follow. Later down the track list is “Rose Colored Lenses.” This song talks of an emotionally taxing and negative experience and perceiving it as something positive. While bottling up all of her feelings, Cyrus wishes to “…stay like this forever, lost in a wonderland.”
Miley also was accompanied by two powerhouse females in the music industry. Brandi Carlile made a feature on track number 4, “Thousand Miles.” Four songs later, 9 time Grammy nominee Sia makes a beautiful feature on the track “Muddy Feet.”
