Far from the beaches mentioned in his most recent release "Party on 95" singer/songwriter Matt Oakley is once again on another journey of exploration in his new single, "Fire and Water."
"Fire and Water" is the successor to "Party On 95", "A roadtrip anthem I wrote about all the times me and my buddies packed up the the truck to hit Florida for spring break." Bouncy, fun, and full of good memories, "the song is about not waiting until you get to your location to start the party."

"Fire and Water", however, is a deeper look into Oakley's vulnerable side, a trip down memory lane designed to tug at listener's heartstrings. The song delves into the singer's personal experience with love and finding his own light in the darkness. Once a "broke man", Oakley's "Fire and Water" is a love letter to the person that helped him piece himself back together. Emotional, he sings, "I never thought I'd/Give in but I let her/Take a broke man/From hopeless to changed for the better/She's an angel in hell/I'm the devil in heaven/But somehow we still make it work."
