J Balvin Named Vevo’s Worldwide Most Watched Artist

The “Prince of Reggaeton” J Balvin doesn’t exactly need any more acknowledgments but he hits yet another milestone by being named "Vevo worldwide most watched artist” just this week. The Colombian reggaeton singer has already won numerous awards including Billboard Latin Music Awards, Latin Grammy Awards, Latin American Music Awards, MTV Music Awards and received two Grammy nominations, and is now holding the record for most viewed Spanish videos in history with "Tranquila", 6 A.M.", "Ay Vamos" and “Ginza”.

Even though the fashion pioneer has since worked with international stars like Beyonce and Dua Lipa and Cards B, he stays loyal to his Hispanic heritage and sings almost exclusively in Spanish, on a mission to make it a globally accepted language in the top music charts. Principles like these are what give J Balvin his essential role as a carrier of hope for overlooked huge parts of the world’s population and only justify him being named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of the Year.
