It is “About Damn Time” That Lizzo Makes Her Way To Nashville

Updated: Oct 5, 2022

You may know Lizzo from her hit singles “Truth Hurts” or “Good as Hell” yet Lizzo is much more than a singer/songwriter. Lizzo has been outspoken for the LGBT community, she continuously champions Black women, and simply women of all sizes since she found fame and success in the music industry. She is an icon for self-love and is known for dancing on the stage like nobody is watching.

On Monday night, Lizzo won the Emmy for outstanding competition program for “Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.” In her acceptance speech, in true Lizzo fashion, she praised inclusivity and made her opinions heard loud and clear.

“When I was a little girl, all I wanted to see was me in the media— someone fat like me, Black like me, beautiful like me,” said Lizzo as she took the stage and accepted her award. “If I could go back and tell little Lizzo something, I’d be like, ‘You’re going to see that person, but b***h, it’s going to have to be you."

All of Lizzo’s dreams are coming to fruition right before our eyes, and nobody deserves it more than her.

With a passion for body positivity, healthy living and inclusivity Lizzo took that to a whole new level with her leading single, “About Damn Time”, for her new album.

This #1 hit single is an anthem for healing, self-love and just having fun, Lizzo continuously advocates for people to simply live a better and happier life. This song sparked success from the TikTok dance trend that had a long-running viral streak throughout the summer of 2022.

When she’s not advocating for peoples mental well-being, Lizzo is entertaining and luckily for Nashville, TN the Emmy winning artist will be in Nashville to perform for one of the stops of “The Special Tour.” So get ready to bust out that popular TikTok dance when Lizzo performs “About Damn Time” at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on October 23rd.
