The typical nitty, gritty sound of County Wide Band takes a turn in their newest single, “Good Advice.”
The band's shares the universal experience of not listening to all the advice given by parents and other good influences when you were younger. “Good Advice” still contains the classic country meets rock style of writing and music composition, but with a nostalgic and relatable aspect of writing that makes this song one of the band's favorites they have ever produced.
Lead guitarist, Steven Standifer explains that, “Good Advice is a song that can be relatable. We’ve all been there, and it just makes sense to all of us.” This song is not just for those who have received good advice in life, it's for all of those who have stepped in and given (or attempted to give) a young person advice when they needed it. Whether they take the advice or not, this song is County Wide’s way of thanking those for trying to help a youngster grow up with great guidance and help along the way.
“We are thankful for the good advice that our parents have given us. We are truly blessed,” shares County Wide Band. While this song is meant to take you back to that young feeling of getting bombarded with advice, County Wide shares the moments when you “finally trust all that good advice.”
