Nashville singer-songwriter, Connor Daly, released his newest single, “Curtains Never Close,” on Friday, and the new song is sure to make everybody’s lovesick playlists. A beautifully sung and masterfully written love song, “Curtains Never Close” is a perfect example of finding your muse. Daly sings of a relationship he never wants to end. With his imaginative cinematic metaphors, the songwriter perfectly captures his devotion to his lover and his sympathy for anyone unlucky enough not to experience this same love.
A slow and simple ballad, “Curtains Never Close,” was the perfect gift to Daly’s fans on Valentine’s Day. The rising singer teased his first release of the New Year on Instagram a week prior to the drop with a short video of him singing the chorus of “Curtains Never Close.” The post was well received and was flooded with comments on how beautiful the song is. Now, a few days after release, it is safe to say that “Curtains Never Close” has lived up to the hype and will undoubtedly find itself among the beloved love songs of our generation.
The success of Daly’s new release comes as no surprise. The new-to-the-scene singer-songwriter received stellar reviews following the release of his debut album, Colors Fade, in July of last year.
